This stylish and bespoke sized business card really makes fantastic use of both the gold and the white foils. The logo was designed to be split into the 2 foil colours and careful alignment was required to keep the perfect position between the gold and the white whilst keeping the square gold border exactly centralised. The result was an extremely beautiful and luxurious set of business cards.
These business cards kept to a standard size (85mm x 55mm) and a simple layout, but used a dark metallic gold foil to make the logo really stand out. The reverse side was printed using a gloss black foil on a white stock, which brought the whole design together with a very high-end finish and just goes to show that you don't need to go crazy with the foiling to produce a stunning business card.
These business cards had some very fine detailing within the logo, but the correct grade of foil worked perfectly to create this beautiful finish.
The reverse side was printed using a gloss black foil on a citrine coloured stock, which worked really well by contrasting with the gold and black of the front side.
If you work in a business that uses precious metals then you really need a business card the compliments that work. These business cards were printed using a dark satin/sheen gold foil to both sides and ebony colorplan card. The crest design had some extremely fine detailing, but with the correct grade of gold foil, and the use of brass engraved print plates, the end result was flawless.
Textured matt black card: if you're after a textured business card then Cairn or Colorplan will possibly be a good choice for you. Cairn is the most textured, but it can be a little too rough for some designs (if you have fine detailing and/or small text), in which case Colorplan or Colorset (recycled) would be a better choice, these 2 black stocks also have a more regular texture than the Cairn.
Lightly Textured matt black card: if you'd prefer a lightly textured card then Sirio Ultra Black would be the perect choice - this stock prints exceptionally well with gold foil and is one of the darkest choices of black card.
Smooth matt black card: if you're looking to have a smoother finish on your black business cards then Plike or Pop'set maybe a great choice - Pop'set is a reasonably cheap matt black stock type and prints well with gold foil, whereas Plike has a higher cost but is exceptionally smooth, meaning it will give the gold foil an excellent shine.
